Speaker Name(s): Tobias Nef, PhD Description: This presentation will focus movement therapy of the upper extremities using the arm therapy robot ARMin, an exoskeleton robot with six degrees of freedom optimized for patient-cooperative control strategies. First, the mechanics of the robot, especially the shoulder actuation principle, will be presented. Second, several different training modes, including the control paradigms and the computer graphics, will be discussed. And third, first clinical experiences from intensive trainings with chronic stroke patients will be presented.
